Here is a tutorial on how to use the photo album section of the site.
I have had several people ask me how it works.
You do need to register on the Coppermine section of the site before
you will be able to upload pictures. The forum registration doesn't count,
sorry. Your registration will have to be approved by an admin as well,
so give it some time. The photo album was designed for team members
to upload files that would be of interest to the rest of the team.
The photo album will only recognize .jpg files. Most pictures are in this
format already, so that is seldom an issue. But if your picture is in
another file format, it will have to be converted to .jpg.
Once your account has been activated and you have logged in for the
first time, you will need to create albums to put your pictures in before
you can upload anything. Then you upload the pictures, and put them in
the album you want them in. Here is the process complete with pictures:
Click on Create/Order my Albums
Click on New, type a name for the album, then click Apply Modifications
Click Continue
You've just created an album, repeat the first three steps if you want
to create more. Otherwise, continue on to uploading pictures.
Click Upload File
Click Browse
You will have to know where on your computer the picture is saved.
Browse to the picture, click on it to highlight it, then click Open.
You can repeat the previous step to add more pictures in the
remaining lines if you want to upload more than one. You can
add up to ten at a time, one in each line that you see. When
you're done with that, click Continue.
It may take a little while for the files to upload. Click Continue when it's done
You should be able to see the picture you uploaded. Select the album
you want to place it in from the drop down list. It will only show the
albums you created at the beginning. Once you have selected the album,
click Continue. If you uploaded more than one file, it will keep bringing
that screen up with each new picture until you have placed all of them
in albums. Note: if you see a red 'X' instead of the picture, you probably
uploaded a file that wasn't a .jpg file.
Congratulations, you've just uploaded your pictures. _________________ Kitha, host to Lashek
